Ecosystems including rare and/or endangered wild plant and animal species and their habitats are designated as maintained reserves. Maintained reserves are managed to:
- Maintaining their natural character
- Scientific and educational purposes and/or environmental monitoring
- Restoration of plant and animal species populations and/or habitat conditions
- Conservation of genetic resources
All activities are prohibited on their territories, except: their protection, visits for scientific purposes, the passage of people on marked trails, the collection of seed material, wild plants and animals for scientific purposes or for their restoration elsewhere, also, it is allowed to conduct maintenance, guidance, regulation or restoration measures.
