National Parks are declared to be territories that do not include settlements and urban formations and that include natural ecosystems with a great diversity of plant and animal species and habitats, with characteristic and remarkable landscapes and objects of inanimate nature.
National Parks are managed with a purpose:
- Maintaining ecosystem diversity and protecting wildlife
- Conserving and maintaining biodiversity in ecosystems
- Providing opportunities for the development of scientific, educational and recreational activities
- Creating conditions for the development of tourism, environmentally friendly livelihoods and other activities
The following areas are designated in the national parks:
- Reserves and maintained reserves
- Tourist area
- Zones of the lodges, administrative centres for the management and maintenance of parks and sports facilities
- Other areas according to specific conditions in the parks
Construction, production activities, clear-cutting, use of artificial fertilizers, introduction of plant and animal species not native to the area, grazing of goats, as well as grazing in forests outside meadows and pastures, collection of herbs, wild fruits and other plants and animals, collection of fossils and minerals, damage to rock formations are prohibited in national parks, disturbance of the natural state of water areas, watercourses, their banks, game breeding and hunting, sport fishing and fish breeding, water pollution, camping and fire lighting, interference with biodiversity, collection of rare, endemic, relict and protected species, except for scientific purposes, other activities defined by the order for the designation of the protected area and the management plan.
